About 2 mins away from the conference centre I was involved in a vehicle accident and, while my poor, loyal girl went to car heaven, I was transported by ambulance to the emergency room.   After lots of scans, I was released about 10 hours later but moving was a challenge.  The air bag caused some blunt force trauma to my chest and the impact jammed my right leg and it was very painful to walk but, miraculously, nothing was broken &#8211; all soft tissue.   <br><br>I stayed on at the conference and everyone was wonderful but I was in a lot of pain which made it a bit hard to concentrate.   I was glad to get home and start the healing process.   <br><br>I admit that I was very positive that I would be better in a few weeks &#8211; maybe couple of months but, boy was I wrong.    I had to cancel my Christmas program because I couldn&#8217;t hold the camera or move properly around the studio.   I did one modified newborn shoot in November and I paid for it for weeks.   <br><br>I&#8217;ll admit I&#8217;ve been struggling with frustration at myself for not being able to do all the things I could before the accident.  It&#8217;s been a learning curve and I&#8217;ve been a bad-tempered student but I&#8217;m still working on it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Despite still not being 100%, it&#8217;s time to ease myself back into the photography world that I&#8217;ve missed so much.
