The Experience - What to expect.

This is a 30 minute, interactive session with Santa aimed at children but parents are welcome to join in the fun. Sessions will take place in Wallan, Victoria 3756. About 45mins north of Melbourne's CBD and 35mins from Melbourne Airport.

Children will receive a personalised letter from Santa on his official stationary, inviting them to visit him. Depending on the story, the reason for the visit will vary, it may be to help him with a task, to wanting to meet them because they've been resilient and kind all year, or to share milk and cookies.

Parents generally speak positively about the upcoming experience and the children are usually very excited, however, despite their bravado, some are still reluctant to engage immediately, but our wonderful Santa, who is trained in the Sensitive Santa Program, is usually able to gently lure them in to eventually participate with activities and delights like milk and cookies made by Mrs Claus especially for their visit. If siblings are present who are comfortable with Santa, the session will begin with them and those who are reluctant can join in when they are comfortable. It is best for parents to be dressed appropriately so that they can join in too, if that is more comfortable for the child. It is important to note that this is not a posed session. While the 'story' is directed by the photographer, he images that are captured from a static position. The reactions and interaction you see in the images on this website are genuine and a pure joy to witness.

The story may alter each year and can be customised to suit any special needs.

A family group shot (can include parents) with Santa will be taken either at the beginning or end of the session and will be included with the Storybook.

The photographer will use their professional discretion to choose those images that that best represent the experience for inclusion in the Fine Art Storybook Album. All keepsake images will be specially edited in the "storybook" style evident in the Christmas images on this page.

Once your session is over, work will begin on any keepsake products you have ordered. These sessions are held in Spring so that enough time is allowed for the manufacture of your products by our chosen suppliers. Production and shipping can run into weeks and, while our objective is to ensure your products are delivered before Christmas, we cannot guarantee third-party processes. However, we make every effort to ensure our suppliers not only provide excellent quality products but are efficient and offer great service as well.
